Emily has held positions at Holzraum System, KieranTimberlake, SITIO Architecture + Urbanism, HiveMind Construction, Bright Common Architecture + Design, and Meyer Design Inc. She enjoys debunking (un)constructability, 3D modeling, iterative design processes, rendering, nerding out about materiality, and thoughtful detailing. She is experienced at collaborating with other designers, builders, factories, and craftspeople in the Philadelphia area and beyond. She gravitates toward work environments that are committed to improving design and build processes to achieve high performance benchmarks and net zero impact. She is a staunch believer that successful architects must understand the process and limitations of construction to the extent that she spent a summer working on the hardhat building crew of a construction team parging and repointing foundations with a preservationist. Emily is a proud resident of the Germantown neighborhood and is currently renovating a one hundred year old rowhome in the Penn-Knox area. When she isn’t working, you will likely find her reading in Vernon Park or riding her bike on Forbidden Drive with her Philly-based cycling team, Team VeloDash. Additionally, you can find Emily’s stream-of-consciousness pen and ink musings on Instagram @Line.Language.
